John Turner grew up in Ashland, Oregon where he learned to love all things outdoors. In his spare time, you will find Dr. Turner enjoying all that the Palouse has to offer. He is an avid skier, fly fisherman, hiker and hunter. Though not originally from the Palouse, he landed in Eastern Washington as a result of pursuing his wife McKinzie who grew up in Pomeroy. They have come to love the area and the Colfax community where they are raising their two kids Doran (5) and Eleanor (2).
Dr Turner completed his undergraduate studies at Oregon State University, where he graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2007. He is a true fan of his alma mater the Oregon State Beavers, and attends games any time the Beavers play in Pullman. You can also find us tailgating at the Vandal games in Moscow as Mckinzie is a Vandal alumna. Dr Turner earned his dental degree in 2011 from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Turner is a lifelong student of dentistry. He has completed courses on IV sedation and Invisalign®, and he also has advanced training in implantology and the removal of wisdom teeth. He participated as an instructor with Western Surgical and Sedation, where he taught surgical procedures to other dentists. He is currently working his way through the prestigious Kois Center curriculum, an advanced traning center located in Seattle, Washington. He is a member of the Inland Empire Periodontal Study Club, the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is an active member of the Colfax Rotary Club and on the Community Child Care Center’s Health Care Advisory Committee.
